I came across some of the photos I took using my Olympus FTL SLR. I love shooting with film as much as I love shooting using a DSLR. Why? Because shooting with film allows me to pause, slow down and constantly be aware of what’s going on around me and capture the moments that really matter. With usually only 36 shots per roll of film, I have to carefully select the moments that are truly important to capture as it can get quite expensive. Shooting with film allows me to tap into my creative side constantly and keeps me grounded as i have to make sure to compose each frame exactly how I want to see it once it’s developed. I love the depth, subtle colour and the right amount of grain in each photo that makes its rawness and effortless beauty stand out. And lastly, why I love shooting in film, because why not? Isn’t analogue slowly making a comeback?
